Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, OBE (born 15 October 1989) is a British professional boxer. He is currently a unified world heavyweight champion, holding three of the four major championships in boxing: the IBF title since 2016, the WBA (Super) title since 2017, and the WBO title since 2018. He has also held the IBO title since 2017, and at regional level he held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2014 to 2016.

Joshua represented England at the 2011 World Championships as an amateur in the super-heavyweight division, winning a silver medal; he also represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics, winning gold. In 2014, a year after turning professional, he was named Prospect of the Year by The Ring magazine. In 2017, his victorious fight against Wladimir Klitschko was named Fight of the Year by The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America. Joshua is the second British boxer, after James DeGale, to win both a gold medal at the Olympics and a world title by a major professional sanctioning body, as well as being the first British heavyweight to do so.

As of September 2018, Joshua is ranked as the world's best active heavyweight by The Ring,[2] the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB),[3] and BoxRec.[4] Known for his exceptional punching power, he has finished all but one of his fights to date by knockout.

Deontay Leshun Wilder (born October 22, 1985) is an American professional boxer. He has held the WBC heavyweight title since 2015, and in doing so became the first American world heavyweight champion in nine years, which was the longest period of time in boxing history without an American heavyweight champion. As an amateur he won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 2008 Olympics. This led to his nickname of "The Bronze Bomber", which Wilder coined after Joe Louis, who was known by the nickname of "The Brown Bomber".

Wilder is particularly known for his formidable punching power, having finished all but two of his fights inside the distance. His knockout-to-win ratio stands at 95%, with 19 knockouts in the first round. He is a two-time winner of the Premier Boxing Champions Knockout of the Year award, in 2016 and 2017.

As of December 2018, Wilder is ranked as the world's second best active heavyweight by BoxRec, and third best by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and The Ring magazine. He is the 16th longest reigning world heavyweight champion of all time, and has the 9th longest combined and individual title streaks in modern heavyweight boxing history at eight and seven title bouts, respectively. Wilder started boxing in October 2005 when he entered Skyy Boxing Gym in Northport, Alabama and began training under Jay Deas. Wilder was 21 at that time.

By 2007 he upset the favorites to win both the National Golden Gloves and the US championships at 201 lb (91 kg).

At the Golden Gloves he defeated highly touted cadet world champion Isiah Thomas - a southpaw from Detroit - and David Thompson, of Brooklyn, NY in the finals. At the U.S. championship he defeated Quantis Graves and won the final 31–15 over southpaw James Zimmerman of San Jose, Calif.

At the Olympic trials he beat Graves twice more and won the Olympic trials in only 21 bouts. Early in 2008 he scored a career-best win by edging out World championships silver medalist and future Olympic champion Rakhim Chakhiyev in Russia. He qualified for the Olympics by beating Deivis Julio 6:5 Jorge Quinones from Ecuador on double countback and Brazilian Rafael Lima 6:5 at the qualifier.

AJ will beat this guy. Firstly, the way he fight is wrong, he will punch with ruff and used his hand/elbow push his opponent down. I'm 100% sure AJ will defeat him

Professional boxing: A brutal sport for sure, but a chance for some warriors to find their path in life and for financial security for themselves and their loved ones. Recently, a replacement for who was suppose to fight but was disqualified due to drugs in his system, the "Mexican Rocky," Andy Ruiz actually won an unexpected victory over World Champion Anthony Joshua (of the U.K.). Andy Ruiz is the FIRST MEXICAN to win a Heavyweight World Championship thus making history. So now the long awaited bout between Anthony Joshua verses another World Champion Deontay Wilder is sort of up in the air.

Anthony IS a strong & gifted brother! But wilder has the reach advantage along with the definite power to stop Joshua for the first time. Joahua said a couple of years ago - "I am not ready for Deontay Wilder" unappreciative ignorant "fans" were calling AJ a coward, which AJ just by profession alone is definitely no "coward!" It took a Man to publicly tell what he was honestly feeling at the time, this means Joshua is no phony...

Wilder is a great one punch wonder, but get results so you can't fault him for that. He was a beaten man by Fury, although he had him down twice. Would love to see him fight Whyte, he'd never handle his power. AJ would just out box wilder.

Wilder has power but he is very vulnerable and could be beaten against someone with decent and Olympic background. I guess that both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will finish their careers with 5 defeats each.
